Parade nights Monday and Wednesday 6.30pm. to 9.00pm.
Location: The Hut, Cromar Crescent, rear of Darland School

Age 12 to 18 years of age Boys and Girls.

The ARMY CADET FORCE is one of the top organisations for young people in the UK with over 50,000 members, including 10,000 girls and 8,000 voluntery leaders, all of whom share the same spirit of adventure.
It is for boys and girls who can handle a real challenge... young people with energy, enthusiasm, and above all, ATTITUDE.

ROSSETT PLATOON are one of the largest platoons of the 4th Cadet Battalion, The Royal Welch Fusiliers (with nearly 40 boys and girls). We meet twice a week to train for star gradings in Field Craft, Skill at Arms, Survival, First Aid and Navigation, and take part in numerous Adventure Training activities.

Training is well structured, including numerous weekends at camp and out in the countryside. It is rewarding, cadets are constantly developing leadership, team work and decision making skills, giving them added confidence and a positive outlook on life... and they have fun in the process. The fun doesn't start and end at camp... at Rossett we have our own Quad Bikes and go mountain biking and hiking as often as possible.

As for formal education, we not only take part in the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme at all levels, but also gain NVQ qualifications through some of our activities.
