What's it all about?		Rossett Online has recently joined an exciting fundraising initiative that could generate significant funds towards RECAP - Rossett's Environmental Community Group. For those of you who regularly purchase goods Online, we now have a 'Web Shop' at buy.at/RossettOnline. This 'Web Shop' links to many high street retailers' websites, and commissions can be earned from these at an average of £2 per transaction! Retailers lending their support to this initiative include: Marks and Spencer, Amazon, Oddbins, Comet, Cotton Traders, MFI, Travelselect, Co-op, CDwow, Blackwell's, RAC, CIS, Carphone Warehouse
How does it work?		Quite simply YOUR purchases from this shop could earn commission for RECAP. The commission earned for RECAP comes out of the retailers cut - it is their marketing money. You pay exactly the same price as their standard Internet prices - a price in many cases lower than the store price. When you next shop online, try starting from our 'Web Shop' at buy.at/RossettOnline. From there you can link through to Amazon, CDwow etc and make your purchases. These sites will recognise you have come from our Web Shop and allocate RECAP's commission accordingly. For it to work properly, you must have 'Cookies' enabled in your Browser - if this means nothing to you, you probably have cookies enabled Other groups are finding an average commission of £2 per purchase and RECAP could benefit similarly. For example - if people made 20 purchases per month spread across all our "supporters" they could generate us £480 per annum! The precise commission rate for each retailer is shown on the shop when you hover over the links in the middle of their page. If you regularly purchase things over the Internet, try starting from Rossett's Web Shop. It would be great if you could also recommend your friends and family to use it as well.
What does it cost?		You make your online purchases just as you would normally. It doesn't cost you a penny extra! It costs nothing for Rossett Online and RECAP to register onto the scheme. The only thing you have to remember is to always start from the Rossett Web Shop at buy.at/RossettOnline. If you DON'T do this, no commission can be paid.
Where does the money go?		All commission earned is tracked and collected by the scheme managers www.perfiliate.com. All commission over £20 is paid, by a cheque made out to RECAP, every month. If commission is less than £20 in any month, the total is rolled over into the next month. RECAP use all funds received, from whatever source, to run projects to enhance the environment in and around Rossett. Projects co-ordinated and undertaken have included: Bulb Planting around the village - often involving the Junior School and the Playgroups. Planting new trees in and around The Green Litter Picks Shredding/Recycling Schemes Heritage Walks Leaflet New village signs Renovating the Water Pump down Harwoods Lane Path Clearing Lobbying about Traffic Calming, A483 noise The Village Map Merchandise with village themed logos The Village Twinning Initiative Sharing the Vision, Shaping the Future . . . and many, many more RECAP apply for and obtain all manner of grants for these projects, but in most cases the grants are 'matched funds' - meaning they have to raise part of the cost themselves. Raising funds is a constant problem - but with your buying power and the commission it generates, RECAP will be able to plan and execute many more projects around the village.
